Glaucoma Implants - Valveless

Glaucoma surgery has seen significant innovation in recent years. While the increase in multiple microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) options has benefited patients, there remains a significant clinical need for traditional filtration devices in a subset of these patients.

The Ahmed® ClearPath™ was developed to make surgery more convenient and efficient, potentially avoiding complications from the procedure itself. Improvements over alternative products include a pre-placed ripcord and a 23-gauge needle. The device is constructed of flexible material, has a low-lying design, and fixation eyelets placed more anteriorly so they are easier to access.
